Irmi Geppert was born and raised in the northern part of Germany. She lived in South Africa for 5 years and moved to the states in 1997 where she lives in the Charleston, SC area.

Inspired by the spectacular wildlife and scenery in South Africa, she started photography as a hobby over 20 years ago. Through her love for the outdoors, she likes to capture the fascinating richness of the low country.

Irmi finished her degree as a computer application programmer in 2003 and works in professional website development ever since.
